Pacific Beach
Our own backyard is one of the best picnic locations. Pacific Beach is one of the most popular beaches in San Diego, known swimming, surfing, and fishing- it’s a great place to set up your blanket and lounge in the sun. Be sure to check out the shops and restaurants by Crystal Pier and along the boardwalk, characterized by the eclectic beach culture.
Palisades Park
Head over to Palisades Park, within walking distance of the hotel, located on top of a cliff that overlooks Pacific Beach. A great place for picnicking with easy access to the beach below makes this a can’t miss spot for your summer picnic.
Kate Sessions Park
Just minutes from the hotel, this amazing Pacific Beach Park boasts some of the most stunning views of Mission Bay, the Pacific Ocean and the city below. Kate Sessions has 79 acres complete with picnic tables, barbecues, restrooms, and plenty of space for summer pastimes (frisbee, ball tossing, etc). After enjoying the day, be sure to stick around to watch a breathtaking San Diego sunset. This park is one of the only public parks in San Diego that allows alcohol, however glass is not permitted.
