San Diego’s favorite music festival had to take a break in 2021, but this year will see its triumphant return. Petco Park will once again play host to the event, which always features loads of amazing local food, an energetic atmosphere, and enough great music to keep you dancing all night. The dates, schedule and lineup are still being finalized for this year, but KAABOO is one festival that never disappoints. You won’t want to miss out!

Dining out is a singular pleasure, especially in a melting pot “foodie” city like San Diego! More than 130 eateries across the metro will be participating in April’s San Diego Restaurant Week, which will feature specials, discounts, and uniquely event-specific menu items that you simply can’t enjoy at any other time on the calendar. It’s been a tough few years for the area’s restaurateurs, so there’s no better time to get out there and enjoy some great taste!

San Diego’s favorite occasion for home-grown fun returns to the Del Mar Fairgrounds after taking a break in ‘21. Visitors can look forward to all of the food, agricultural displays, rides, entertainment, animal exhibits, vendors, and more that they’ve come to love from the region’s biggest and best county fair. So bring your sense of adventure, pack some sunscreen, and get ready to have a fantastic time at the fair once again.
San Diego Brew Fest (June 11, 2022)
With more than 150 breweries in and around the metro, San Diego has swiftly become one of the country’s premier craft beer capitals. Aficionados of micro, small-batch and craft brews can sample some of the city’s best beers at this festival, as well as a deep selection of other regional brews, and even international varieties. Live music, some of the city’s most popular food trucks and plenty of surprises will also keep things lively.

Humphreys Concerts by the Bay
After a triumphant 2021 season — featuring sold-out shows with artists such as Chris Isaak, Judy Collins, Chicago, Cheap Trick, and many more household-name superstars — the 2022 Humphreys Concerts by the Bay season is shaping up to be no less spectacular. This year, concert-goers can look forward to checking out acts like Colbie Callait, They Might Be Giants, Mat Kearney, Little Feat, and many more. The calendar is only just now beginning to fill up with spectacular performances, so be sure to keep an eye on their show schedule for all the latest!

The world’s biggest convention of comics culture returns to the San Diego Convention Center in July of 2022. For the uninitiated, Comic-Con is a massive event that draws more than 135,000 attendees every year to celebrate the impact that all things superhero, sci-fi, fantasy, and magic have had on our collective consciousness. Expect costumes, video games, panel discussions, meet-and-greets, and (of course) comics galore.

The city’s favorite annual celebration of music, food, art and culture will be a can’t-miss 2022 event, especially after having had no option but to take a hiatus last year. Attendees will enjoy music, food, arts and crafts vendors, local craft beer tastings, and more. This year’s fair will host more than 100 musical acts over seven stages, so there’s certain to be something for everyone. When you go, you’ll also discover carnival rides, cultural events, and endless fun for the whole family. The best part? Admission is always free.

Attendees can look forward to a beach volleyball tournament, a vendor fair featuring local arts and crafts, live entertainment, rides for the kids, and incredible food. Best of all, it takes place in Pacific Terrace’s backyard, so you’ll be close to all the fun. Details of this year’s shindig are still being finalized, so watch this space!
San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival (November 11–14, 2022)

When most people think of California wines, they think of Napa Valley. Still, the wineries of nearby areas like San Pasqual Valley, Rancho Bernardo, and nearby Jullian have ideal conditions for vineyard growth, and the wineries of these areas are creating some impressive bottles worth checking out. San Diego celebrates this amazing wine culture at the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival, which makes a grand return this year.
